The Diocese of Imus, represented by Fr. Alain Manalo, Fr. Ned Nazareno, and Ms. Mia Gatpandan, participated in the National Guidelines Framework (NGF) Writeshop 2026, held on October 13–16 at the Pius XII Center in Manila. Organized by the CBCP Office for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons, the writeshop carried the theme: “One Church, One Duty: Safeguarding the Vulnerable, Upholding Dignity.”
A significant milestone of the writeshop was the completion of the draft National Guidelines Framework, which will guide and strengthen safeguarding ministries in dioceses throughout the Philippines. The draft will undergo further review by experts and the CBCP before its eventual promulgation.
This initiative reaffirms the Church’s shared responsibility to protect minors and vulnerable persons, uphold human dignity, and foster safe and caring communities.
One Church, One Duty. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
