The Diocesan Finance Office successfully concluded its series of learning sessions for Parish Finance Council Lay Coordinators with the fourth and final learning session held on October 24, 2026, at Casas Hall, Bishop’s House, City of Imus, Cavite.
The session brought together coordinators from the Episcopal District of St. Matthew, as well as those from other Episcopal Districts who were unable to attend the previous sessions. The gathering marked the culmination of the initiative, which aimed to strengthen financial stewardship and promote sound financial management in the parishes.
Led by Rev. Fr. Bernie Gacelo, the Diocesan Finance Office once again emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, accurate financial reporting, and prudent decision-making in managing the resources entrusted to the Church. The session also provided participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of their respective roles and exchange insights and best practices in parish financial management.
The Diocesan Finance Office expresses its sincere gratitude to all participants and contributors for their active involvement and commitment throughout the four learning sessions.
With the completion of the series, the Diocesan Finance Office reaffirms its commitment to providing ongoing guidance, formation, and support to Parish Finance Council Lay Coordinators. Through continued collaboration and responsible stewardship, the office seeks to strengthen parish financial administration in support of the Church’s mission.
The conclusion of the learning sessions marks not an end, but a renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and faithful stewardship in the administration of the Church’s temporal goods.
