His Excellency Most Rev. Reynaldo G. Evangelista, D.D., Fr. Reuel Castaneda, Fr. James Andes, and Fr. Michael dela Cruz attended the National Meeting of Parish Priests.
In his homily during the Eucharistic celebration on July 31, 2024, Feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Most Rev. Reynaldo G. Evangelista reminded all Parish Priests to constantly pray the Prayer for Generosity that Saint Ignatius of Loyola composed:
Lord, teach me to be generous. Teach me to serve you as you deserve; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labor and not to ask for reward save that of knowing that I do your will.
The National Meeting of Parish Priests, initiated by the Philippine Conference on New Evangelization, transpired on July 31- August 1, 2024 at Manila Prince Hotel, Manila.
