Ginanap noong Agosto 30 at 31 ang ikalawang baytang ng Fundamentals of Lay Formation ng Diyosesis ng Imus na pinamagatang “Pagpapakilala sa Biblia” sa St. Paul Parish, Langkaan, Dasmariñas, City. Ito ay seminar ng paghuhubog na isinakatuparan ng Diocese of Imus Biblical Apostolate (DIBA) katuwang ang Diocesan Lay Formation Team (DLFT) patungkol sa Banal na Kasulatan, na dinaluhan ng parish lay formators ng Episcopal District of St. Luke. 

Nagsipagtapos ang 40 parish attendees mula sa naturang distrito, na silang inaasahang magbababa ng tema na ito sa lahat ng mga lingkod-simbahan sa kani-kanilang parokya.  

Ang module na ito, “Pagpapakilala sa Biblia” ay ang kasunod ng naunang module, “Pahayag” na kasama sa tatlong Fundamentals of Formation na isinusulong ng ating diyosesis.  Ang pangatlo ay “Basic Catechesis” na maaring ilunsad sa Marso 2025. 

Ayon kay Bb. AC Nuestro, ang DLFT Coordinator, “Ito pong tatlo kaya sinabi siyang fundamentals, the goal is all of our lingkod-simbahan ay nakadaan sa Pahayag, Introduction to Sacred Scriptures and Basic Catechesis.”

Sa inyong palagay, bakit naisip ng Diyosesis na gawing ikalawang tema ang "Pagpapakilala sa Biblia" sa Fundamentals of Lay Formation?

“I will only assume because I was not part of the formation team that conceived of this trilogy. At any rate, since this is in relation to the fundamentals of pastoral integration, our Diocese thought of a way to give basic knowledge on how to be a church worker (by realizing our individual charisms); after which, every church worker regardless of his/her charism should have a knowledge of the basic tenets of his/her faith- and this may be found in the of Word of God. We should realize that the Catholic faith stands on 3 legs: Word of God (Scripture), Sacred Tradition, teaching authority of the Magisterium (Pope and Bishops). Top most is the Holy Scripture from which most if not all of church traditions may be found and all the teachings of the magisterium are based. Therefore, all faithfuls should have a basic knowledge of the Scriptures before learning the church teachings (Catechesis) since this is also bible based.”

Sa ginawang unang Episcopal District formation ngayon, ano ang nakita po ninyong pagtugon (response) ng mga dumalo?

“I haven’t read the evaluation papers at this moment, but it looks like we were able to trigger interest in learning more about the Bible among the participants. Actually this is our third seminar. The first two are vicarial only and we had a very good response from the audience.”
