Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,

Greetings of peace!

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has resolved, in its July 2025 Plenary Assembly to celebrated the Votive Mass for the Care Creation, as approved by Pope Leo XIV, on the First Sunday of September (September 7 for this year) to mark the commencement of the Season of Creation.

As you all know, the Diocese of Imus has already opened the Season of Creation last August 30, 2025 at Laudato Si’ Farm (SVD Farm) led by Diocese of Imus Ministry on Ecology (DIMEc).  It was attended by several priests, religious and representatives from different parishes.

By celebrating the Votive Mass for the Care of Creation on September 7 (also in Anticipated Mass on Sept. 6), our faithful will be made aware of the importance of stewardship of God’s creation.

To facilitate this meaningful celebration, we have attached a new formulary and a selection of appropriate readings.  These have been approved for liturgical use by the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

In the alarming situation of serious ecological crisis, marked by floods, strong typhoons, climate disruption and widespread environmental degradation brought by humanity’s greed and indifference, I encourage everyone to ask the Lord for the grace of ecological conversion and renew our commitment to care for our common home.
