Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,
Greetings of peace!
Our nation has endured the onslaught of typhoons Crising, Dante, Emong, and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat), which brought torrential rains and widespread flooding across Luzon.
These weather disturbances also inundated many parts of Cavite and its neighboring provinces that displaced thousands, damaging homes and properties. According to a recent report by the National Risk Reduction and Management Council (NRRMC), 2.7 million individuals have been affected, many of them still in evacuation centers.
In response to the call for Christian charity, we have activated the CARITAS IMUS HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE OPERATION to extend concrete and immediate assistance to those in need.
We appeal to all parishes, institutions, and Christian communities to respond in the spirit of compassion and communion.
Please deliver your in-kind donations (preferably rice, canned goods, and coffee) to Our Lady of the Pillar Seminary, Buhay na Tubig, City of Imus, Cavite, or send your cash donations to the following G-Cash and Metrobank account numbers:
09159078659 (Knoriel Alvarez, Caritas-Imus Priest-in-Charge)
039-7-03957999-1 (Metrobank account- Reynaldo Evangelista, Knoriel Alvarez)
You may also drop your cash donations in Caritas Imus boxes (red boxes) in all parish churches and offices. Special collections will also be held during anticipated and Sunday masses this weekend.
Let us unite in prayer in this time of calamity and need.
Given at the Chancery Office, City of Imus, Cavite on the 25th of July 2025.
