Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus, Greetings of peace!
The EDSA People Power Anniversary that commemorates the bloodless revolution against a dictatorial regime in 1986 will be held on the 25th of February 2024, Second Sunday of Lent.
Attached is a copy of the prayer to be recited after Post Communion Prayer in all anticipated and Sunday masses on February 24 and February 25, 2024 respectively. The song \Bayan Ko\ that recalls the triumph of the Filipino spirit amidst oppression may also be sung after the prayer.
In addition, the tolling of Church bells will be done simultaneously in the Diocese of Imus at exactly 7:00pm until 7:05 pm on Sunday, the 25th of February 2024.
May this meaningful event remind us of the sanctity of human life, the value of patriotism and the dignity of human freedom.
