Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,

Greetings of peace!

The AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED (ACN)-Philippines invites all dioceses, parishes, religious institutions, and Christian communities to participate in the annual celebration of Red Wednesday on the 27th of November 2024.

This year's theme, "One in Suffering, One in Consolation," highlights the pressing need to support Christians from all backgrounds who face affliction, violence, and injustice because of their dedication to spread the Christian faith and the Gospel.

I encourage all parishes, schools, religious institutions, and Christian communities to observe this day of prayer by celebrating the Eucharist using the Votive Mass for Persecuted Christians (Roman Missal, p.1058).

The facades of your churches, schools, and buildings may be illuminated in red to symbolize sacrifices and martyrdom of our persecuted brothers and sisters in the Christian faith.

Special collections will also be held in all votive masses.  Please remit to the Diocesan Finance Office the collections as soon as possible.
