Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful,
Greetings of peace!
In a recent meeting of the Permanent Council of the Catholoc Bishop's Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) held on the 20th of May 2026, the prayer entitled, "A Nation's Prayer for Enlightenment, Conversion, and Renewal", was approved.
In the midst of our national crisis, we are moved pray more fervently for each other and for the future of our country.
The council agreed that the abovementioned prayer, which is translated in Tagalog and English, be prayed in all masses beginning this Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026 until the whole month of July.
I enjoin all parishes, religious, and Christian communities to join in prayer for conversion and renewal as we entrust our nation to the mercy and love of God
