Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,

Greetings of peace!

In communion with the Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), we share in the suffering of our brothers and sisters affected by the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Mindanao, especially in Sarangani Province and its neighboring areas.

We entrust to the Lord's love and mercy those who perished, injured, and all families who are in pressing need. In the spirit of solidarity, we are called to be close to them in this time of difficulty.

As our gesture of compassion, a special intention in the Prayer of the Faithful and second collection in all anticipated (June 13) and Sunday masses (June 14) will be included in all our Eucharistic celebrations this weekend. In addition, I also encourage all parishes to use our Caritas boxes (Red Boxes) to augment our financial assitance to the areas affected particulary the Diocese of Marbel and neighboring diocese.

May the Lord continually console our brothers and sisters in their moments of suffering
