Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,
Greetings of Peace!
The AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED (ACN) - Philippines invites all diocese, parishes, religious institutions, and Christian communities to participate in the annual celebration of Red Wednesday on the 26th of November 2025 in solidarity with persecuted Christians around the world.
This year's theme, "Living Hope Amidst Suffering," underscores the moral imperative to support all Christians who experiences affliction, violence, and injustice because of their unwavering commitment to proclaim the Good News.
I enjoin all parishes, schools, religious, and Christian communities to mark this day of prayer by wearing red and celebrating the Eucharist using the Votive Mass for Persecuted Christians(Roman Missal,p. 1058), lifting up in hope all who endure hardship and suffer from their faith.
The facades of your churches, schools, or building institutions may be illuminated by a red color that symbolizes the suffering and martyrdom of our persecuted brothers and sisters, whose witness of courage and fidelity calls us to deeper solidarity.
For other instructions and liturgical notes, please visit ACN's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/acnphilippines.org
Special collections will also be held in all votive masses to support persecuted Christians. Please remit to the Diocesan Finance Office the collections as soon as possible.
Given at the Chancery Office, City of Imus, Cavite on the 17th of November 2025.
Sincerely in Christ,
+REYNALDO G. EVANGELISTA, D.D.
