Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus, Greetings!
The Pontifical Mission Societies enjoins all dioceses to observe the special collections (Opus Sancti Petri) on Saint Peter the Apostle Sunday on the 25th of February 2024, the Second Sunday of Lent.
This is the Holy Father Pope Francis' initiative for the formation, training, and support for seminarians, clergy, and consecrated persons in mission territories.
The special collections occur on a Sunday nearest to the celebration of the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter on February 22, which is in accordance to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' CBCP Circular No. 21-49.
Let us encourage our parishes and communities to support the formation and apostolates of seminarians, clergy, and consecrated persons who are in mission areas around the world.
