SILANG, CAVITE — The second iteration of the Liturgical Conference on Lent and Easter for participants from the upland parishes of Cavite was held April 9 at the Sambayanang Kristiyano (SK) Hall of the Diocesean Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, this municipality.

A total of 164 lay leaders representing various neighboring parishes attended the conference and demonstrated interest in the subject matter.

The conference aimed to remind the faithful and provide clarification regarding the liturgical practices relevant to the Lenten and Easter seasons, adhering to the General Instruction of the Roman Missal. The conference program was divided into three segments: the season of Lent, the Paschal Triduum, and the Easter Season. Each presentation was followed by an interactive question and answer period that provided participants an opportunity to clarify uncertain points or information.

Rev. Fr. Ashpaul Castillo, priest animator of the Ministri sa Liturhiya, and Rev. Fr. Reinier Dumaop, chaplain of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, facilitated the discussions.
